ABOUT US

Co-Founders aka Co-Conductors, Stacy Cunningham and Scott Phillips, served as the film content programmers for Way Down Film Festival (2016-2018).

 

We are thrilled to keep the festival tracks rolling with Midnight Train Film Festival.

Stacy Cunningham, Co-Conductor

Stacy Cunningham is  a B.F.A. graduate from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and over 25-year veteran in the media industry. Located to Georgia after spending most of her life in Los Angeles, she has participated as a professional screenwriter, producer, director, casting director, locations manager, and actor in a combined total of 500-plus film, television, commercial, and industrial projects. 

Stacy is casting director and owner of Stacy Cunningham Casting - the go-to source for background & local casting for film, TV, and commercials in Columbus, GA and its surrounding areas. Her latest casting credit includes the feature CASH OUT, starring John Travolta.

 

In addition, she was producer and post-production supervisor for the feature film, THINGS DON’T STAY FIXED, directed by Bo Bartlett and filmed entirely in the Columbus, GA area.

Through her company, A Making Mudpies Production, she has two features and a TV series slated to film in the near future in the West Georgia area.

Scott Phillips, Co-Conductor

Scott Phillips holds a degree in print journalism from the University of Georgia where he served as one of the film critics for the Red & Black student newspaper.  His first film review was published in 1988. Scott has been the Executive Editor and Senior Writer for The Movie Isle since its inception in November 2017. From 2013 through 2017, he reviewed films for Film Dispenser. Scott’s work also appears in each issue of Columbus and the Valley Magazine where he writes about a variety of film-related topics.  In September 2019, Scott joined the WRBL News Team and currently hosts The Screen Scene at WRBL.com.

Scott has covered numerous film festivals over the years including the Atlanta Film Festival, Chattanooga Film Festival, True/False Film Festival (Columbia, MO), Macon Film Festival, Overlook Film Festival (New Orleans, LA), Cineapocalypse (Chicago, IL), Fantasia International Film Festival (Montreal), Fantastic Fest (Austin, TX) and FrightFest (London).
